About Me:

Dr Tariq Hamood, founder of IGCSE Expert, studied English Language and Linguistics at the University of London. He holds a Postgraduate ESL Teaching Diploma from Trinity College London, an MA in Educational Leadership from University College London (UCL), and a PhD in Education from Warwick University. With over 14 years of teaching experience in the UK and the Middle-East, he currently serves as an assistant headteacher at an academy in Qatar and as an assistant professor and teacher trainer at a university in Lusail (Qatar). As the Lead English Expert for a multi-academy trust in Qatar, Dr Tariq led English curriculum and assessments for three major academies. He developed assessments aligned with IGCSE ESL (Edexcel and Cambridge) and managed large teams of English exam markers in addition to analysing exam data for thousands of students. Recently, Dr Tariq started a successful YouTube channel, supporting students worldwide to ace their IG ESL exams and achieve their dreams of attending world-class universities.
